Abstract

ABSTRACT Lindah Sari, 2018. Effect of Implementation of Good Corporate Governance and Company Size on Company Performance (Empirical Study on Food and Beverage Manufacturing Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange Period 2013 - 2017). Advisor I : Hari Setiono, SE,MSi Advisor II : Tatas Ridho Nugroho, S.Pd,M.Pd Good corporate governance is needed to build the trust of the public and the international community as an absolute requirement for the company to develop well and healthily, as well as a set of rules that establish relationships between shareholders, management of creditors, government, employees and other internal and external stakeholders with respect to their rights and obligations, or in other words as a system that directs and controls the company. This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of good corporate governance from the elements of the board of commissioners and the board of directors, and the size of the company on the performance of food and beverage manufacturing sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2013-2017. This study uses quantitative methods with associative approach. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing with T Partial Test and Simultaneous Significance Test. The results of the study partially show that the board of directors has a significant positive effect on company performance, the board of directors has a significant negative effect on the performance of the company, the size of the company does not affect the company's performance. The results of the study simultaneously the board of commissioners, board of directors, and company size simultaneously affect the company's performance as evidenced by the calculated F value> F table which is 3.102 > 2.83 with a significance level of 0.037 < 0.05. b Keywords : Good corporate governance, Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, Company Size, Company Performance.
