Abstract

ANALISIS LAJU KOROSI PIPA BAJA ST 30 DAN STAINLESS STEEL TERHADAP ASAM LIMBAH TEPUNG BERAS Fajar Rachman Hakim*1), Dicki Nizar Zulfika*2), Atika Isnaining Dyah*3) *1,2,3)Universitas Islam Majapahiot, Mojokerto Email fajar.rahman36@gmail.com ABSTRAK Korosi merupakan rusaknya suatu material logam yang terjadi akibat reaksi antara logam dan lingkungannya yang menghasilkan oksida logam, atau reaksi kimia lainnya yang disebut sebagai pengkaratan. Dalam penelitian ini material yang digunakan adalah pipa baja karbon st 30 dan stainless steel pada media korosi terhadap asam limbah tepung beras. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan pengukuran elektrokimia yang menggunakan alat autolab PGSTAT 204 untuk mengukur suatu laju korosi yang terjadi pada penelitian ini. Hasil pengujian korosi pipa baja karbon st 30. Hasil penelitian spesimen pipa baja karbon yang ke-1 memiliki nilai laju korosi sebesar 2,1982 mm/y. Hasil peneltian spesimen pipa baja karbon yang ke-2 memiliki nilai laju korosi sebesar 3,6102 mm/y. Sehingga didapatkan nilai rata-rata laju korosi yang terjadi pada kedua spesimen yang di uji sebesar 2,9042 mm/y. Hasil penelitian spesimen pipa stainless steel yang ke-1 memiliki nilai laju korosi sebesar 0,001791 mm/y. Hasil penelitian spesimen pipa stainless steel yang ke-2 memiliki nilai laju korosi sebesar 0,11385 mm/y. Sehingga didapatkan nilai rata-rata laju korosi yang terjadi pada kedua spesimen yang di uji sebesar 0,0578205 mm/y. Hal ini menunjukkan dengan melihat nilai laju korosi yang terjadi pipa stainless steel hampir tidak mengalami suatu korosi. Kata kunci : laju korosi, elektrokimia,pipa baja karbon st 30, pipa stainless steel ABSTRACT Corrosion is the destruction of a metal material that occurs due to a reaction between the metal and its environment that produces metal oxides, or other chemical reactions known as rusting. In this research, the material used is carbon steel pipe st 30 and stainless steel on the corrosion medium against acid waste of rice flour. The method used is electrochemical measurement using the PGSTAT 204 autolab tool to measure the corrosion rate that occurs in this study. The results of the corrosion test for carbon steel pipe st 30. The results of the research on the 1st carbon steel pipe specimen have a corrosion rate of 2.1982 mm/y. The results of the second research on carbon steel pipe specimens have a corrosion rate of 3,6102 mm/y. So that the average value of the corrosion rate that occurs in the two specimens tested is 2.9042 mm/y. The results of the research on the 1st stainless steel pipe specimen have a corrosion rate value of 0.001791 mm/y. The results of the second stainless steel pipe specimen research have a corrosion rate of 0.11385 mm/y. So that the average value of the corrosion rate that occurs in the two specimens tested is 0.0578205 mm/y. This shows that by looking at the corrosion rate value, the stainless steel pipe almost does not experience any corrosion.
