Abstract

ABSTRACT Hidayatulloh, Muchammad Riyan, 2018. “The Effects of Reward and Punishment on Employees' Performance at PT. PLN (Persero) of Mojokerto Region". Undergraduate Thesis, Department of Human Resources Management, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Islam Majapahit (UNIM). Advisor I : Budi Utami, SE., MM Advisor II : Kasnowo, S. Sos. I., MM This thesis aims to figure out the partial, simultaneous, and determined effects of reward and punishment on employees' performance of PT. PLN (Persero) of Mojokerto Region. It is expected that reward and punishment would be able to improve employees' performance in order to achieve company's goals. In this study, the data was analysed using doubled linear regression analysis equipped by SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) 22.0 for Windows. This study is a quantitative study and used reward and punishment as free variables and employees' performance as dependant variable. The population used in this study consisted of 70 employees of PT. PLN (Persero) of Mojokerto Region, and 60 employees were chosen as samples that were calculated using slovin formula. The result of this study shows that reward and punishment affect simultaneously on employees' performance of PT. PLN (Persero) of Mojokerto Region. Whilst reward partially affects employees' performance of PT. PLN (Persero) of Mojokerto Region, punishment does not partially affect the employees' performance.
