Abstract

ABSTRAK Etnografi Komunikasi dalam Tradisi Kirim Dawuhan adalah sebuah penelitian yang mendokumentasikan dan menganalisis secara mendalam tradisi yang dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Desa Nogosari. Tradisi Kirim Dawuhan merupakan peristiwa komunikatif yang diwariskan turun temurun sebagai ungkapan rasa syukur atas kelimpahan sumber mata air. Penelitian ini menggali berbagai aspek tradisi, seperti makna dan tujuan tradisi, bentuk pesan yang dikomunikasikan antara partisipan dan Tuhan Yang Maha Esa serta leluhur desa, serta tindakan komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal yang terlibat dalam pelaksanaan tradisi. Dengan menggunakan metode etnografi, penelitian ini melibatkan pengamatan langsung di lokasi pelaksanaan Tradisi Kirim Dawuhan, wawancara mendalam dengan partisipan, serta analisis terhadap berbagai data yang terkumpul. Etnografi Komunikasi dalam Tradisi Kirim Dawuhan memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang bagaimana tradisi ini dijalankan, serta nilai-nilai budaya dan spiritual yang terkandung di dalamnya. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi penting dalam melestarikan dan memahami tradisi-tradisi lokal lainnya, serta menjaga keberlangsungan kearifan lokal yang kaya dan beragam. Kata Kunci : Etnografi, Kirim Dawuhan, Tradisi ABSTRACT Communication Ethnography in the Kirim Dawuhan Tradition is a research project that documents and deeply analyzes the tradition practiced by the community of Nogosari Village. The Kirim Dawuhan tradition is a communicative event that has been passed down through generations as an expression of gratitude for the abundance of water resources. This study explores various aspects of the tradition, such as its meanings and purposes, the forms of messages communicated between the participants and the Almighty God and village ancestors, as well as the verbal and nonverbal communication actions involved in the execution of the tradition. Employing ethnographic methods, the research involves direct observation at the location where the Kirim Dawuhan Tradition takes place, in-depth interviews with participants, and analysis of various collected data. Communication Ethnography in the Kirim Dawuhan Tradition provides profound insights into how this tradition is carried out, along with the cultural and spiritual values embedded within it. This research can serve as an essential reference in preserving and understanding other local traditions while safeguarding the rich and diverse local wisdom.
