Abstract

ABSTRAK Pola asuh asertif adalah pendekatan dalam mendidik anak yang ditandai dengan mendorong komunikasi yang terbuka, sehingga anak dapat menyatakan pendapat dan perasaannya tanpa rasa takut akan hukuman atau penilaian yang keras. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis pola asuh asertif yang diterapkan oleh orang tua kepada anak mereka melalui media sosial TikTok, khususnya pada akun @The Hartono’s Family pada bulan Juli 2022 hingga Desember 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi (content analysis) untuk menggali berbagai jenis konten dan pesan yang disampaikan oleh Keluarga Hartono. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa The Hartono’s Family telah menggunakan pola asuh asertif tercermin dalam cara orang tua menyampaikan pesan, memberikan arahan, dan komunikasi dengan terbuka. Selain itu, pola asuh asertif juga tercermin dalam bagaimana orang tua membangun hubungan komunikasi yang positif dengan anak-anak mereka, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung perkembangan emosi dan sosial anak-anak. Dalam hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa video dalam media social TikTok dengan akun @The Hartono’s Family selama bulan Juli 2022 hingga Desember 2022 memiliki kecenderungan konten video yang didominasi oleh setuju dengan pendapat orang lain dan menerima keterbatasan dalam diri sambil terus memperbaikinya. Kata Kunci: Pola Asuh Asertif, Media Sosial, Komunikasi Terbuka ABSTRACT Assertive parenting is an approach in child-rearing characterized by encouraging open communication, allowing children to express their opinions and feelings without fear of harsh punishment or judgment. This research aims to identify and analyze the assertive parenting style applied by parents towards their children on the TikTok social media platform, particularly on the @The Hartono’s Family account from July 2022 to December 2022. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with content analysis methods to explore various types of content and messages conveyed by The Hartono’s Family. The findings of this research reveal that The Hartono’s Family has employed an assertive parenting style, reflected in the way parents communicate messages, provide guidance, and maintain open communication. Additionally, the assertive parenting style is evident in how parents establish positive communication with their children, creating an environment that supports emotional and social development. It can be concluded that the videos on the TikTok social media platform, under the account @The Hartono’s Family during July 2022 to December 2022, tend to contain content dominated by agreeing with others' opinions and accepting personal limitations while continuously striving for improvement.
