Abstract

Media is a tool to convey learning messages so that students can understand and accept the lessons that have been delivered. To overcome the phenomenon, students find it difficult to understand and participate in learning due to external factors. Education is one way to provide fun and efficient learning. The implementation of learning media using audio-visual becomes an alternative strategy that can be applied by teachers to overcome the phenomena that occur through PAI learning. This research was carried out with the aim of: (1) To describe and analyze learning media using audio-visual in PAI learning at SMPN 1 Pungging. (2) To find out what are the inhibiting and supporting factors of learning media using audio-visual in PAI learning at SMPN 1 Pungging. This research applies the type of qualitative research using a phenomenological approach. The subjects in this study were Islamic religious education teachers. Data collection techniques using interviews and observation. The data analysis technique includes three stages, namely data collection, data reduction, and display of assembled data. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that: (1) The media is very helpful for educators in delivering a learning material. (2) inhibiting factors for inadequate facilities and infrastructure, especially learning media, teachers or teachers do not have adequate skills to use audio-visual media. (3) supporting factors help and support the delivery of learning materials. It is hoped that in the future the school will provide full support for the existing infrastructure in the school, but not only the media but the skills of the teacher in delivering learning so that students can easily understand and follow the lesson well.
