Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan : kebutuhan tokoh utama dan nilai pendidikan karakter dalam novel Laut bercerita karya Leila S Chudori. Peneliti berperan langsung sebagai instrumen utama penelitian, Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan humanistik. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumen novel. Dokumen yang digunakakan adalah novel yang didalamnya terdapat hierarki kebutuhan humanistik. Data berupa data tulis. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca, dan catati. Validasi data diperoleh melalui trianggulasi sumber data,dan teori.Analisis data yang digunakan penelitian yaitu model analisis interaktif dengan mengumpulkan data, mereduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya humanistik Abraham Maslow, yang meliputi Kebutuhan Fisiologis, kebutuhan rasa aman, kebutuhan rasa dicintai, kebutuhan dihargai dan kebutuhan aktualisasi diri, sedangkan nilai pendidikan karakter ditemukan data antara lain sikap religius, tanggung jawab, Disiplin, Hidup sehat, kerja keras, percaya diri, Demokratis , cinta ilmu, santun dan Nasionalisme. This study aims to describe: the needs of the main character and the value of character education in the novel Laut Tells by Leila S Chudori. Researchers play a direct role as the main instrument of research. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with a humanistic approach. The source of data in this study is a novel document. The document used is a novel in which there is a hierarchy of humanistic needs. Data in the form of written data. Data collection techniques used reading and note-taking techniques. Data validation was obtained through triangulation of data sources, and theory. The data analysis used in this study was an interactive analysis model by collecting data, reducing data, displaying data, and verifying data. The results obtained from the study indicate that there is a humanistic Abraham Maslow, which includes physiological needs, security needs, love needs, esteem needs and self-actualization needs, while the value of character education is found in data including religious attitudes, responsibility, discipline, healthy living, hard work, self-confidence, democracy, love of knowledge, polite and nationalism
