Abstract

ABSTRACT Nita, Eva Setia. 2018. Comparative Analysis of Financial Performance Before and After Indosat Changed its Name to Indosat Ooredoo. Advisor I : Hartono, SE., MM Advisor II : Rahayu, SE., M.Si The purpose of this research is to compare financial performance at PT. Indosat Tbk which happened before and after Indosat changed its name to Indosat Ooredoo and to find out the condition of financial performance experienced an increase or decrease due to the change of Indosat's name. Financial performance is measured using financial ratio analysis including liquidity ratios consisting of current ratio and quick ratio, solvency ratios consisting of debt to equity ratio and total debt to total assets, activity ratios consisting of fixed assets turnover and total assets turnover, and profitability ratio consisting of net profit margin, return on assets, return on equity, and gross profit margin. This study uses comparative analysis that is comparing between two elements (financial performance) in consecutive years to get direction about changes in elements of financial performance that might occur in the future. From the results of the Paired Sample t-test calculation using SPSS 22 program, it can be seen that in the Sig. (2-tailed) 0,228 > α 0,05 then Ho is accepted which means that the financial performance of PT. Indosat Tbk between before and after changing names there is no significant difference. Whereas based on the calculation of Chi Square Test seen in Asymp. Sig. shows the results of 1,000> α 0,05 which means that the financial performance of PT. Indosat Tbk between before and after changing names there is no significant difference. Keywords: comparative analysis, financial performance, ratio analysis
