Skripsi, English Language Study Program of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Majapahit Islamic University, Advisor (I) Ahmad Iklil Saifulloh, S.S., M.Pd. and Advisor (II) Amy Krisdiana, S.Pd., M.Hum. Keywords: Listening, Shadowing Technique In studying English the most important skill in social interaction is listening skill. Therefore listening skill is very important in ones life for communication purpose. By using shadowing technique can give some advantages for the students to improve their listening skill. The purpose of the study are to describe how the implementation of teaching listening by using shadowing technique and to find out the teachers challenges in implementation of teaching listening by using shadowing technique. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher conducted a qualitative research. The subject of the research is an English teacher of SMKN 1 Sooko Mojokerto. The instrument of the research is using interview. Based on the analysis the data that has been obtained, the teacher is doing several steps in implementing the shadowing technique. They are; Dictation cloze, Mumbling, Parallel reading, Check understanding, Shadowing, Check details, Content shadowing, Dictation cloze and check answer. The teacher challenges in implementing the shadowing technique are; first, time management. Second, school facilities, and thirth is the different capability
