Abstract

In this final project, the objectives of the research are to explain the procedure of the teacher use “Dream Book” Media in Teaching Writing, to know whether there is a correlation between the use of “Dream Book” and Motivation in Writing, and to explain learners Motivation in Writing by using “Dream Book”. To achieve the objective of the research, the researcher conducted qualitative and quantitative research. The qualitative was held through the Open Questionnaire and Close Questionnaire group design. The population of the research was Tenth Grade of SMA Raden Rahmat Balongbendo, Sidoarjo. The researcher chose the sample by using random sampling, there is one class from the total number sample. There are 10 Learners as a sample. The researcher wants to test the “Dream Book” media for learners’ motivation and writing skills. Therefore, this research is focused on the Correlation between the use of “Dream Book” and EFL Learners Motivation by using “Dream Book”. The data were collected through Open Questionnaire and Close Questionnaire for to know the learners’ writing by using of “Dream Book” and the learners’ Motivation in Writing. So, the researcher got each variable to know the correlation. The analysis result of Pearson Product Moment from the r number (.764) the researcher could use it to know the strength of correlation between two variables. The number of .764 resided between.0,600-0,800, that means the strength in Enough correlation. Whereas, for the number significance (Sign)=.010 will be used to know which hypothesis will be accepted or rejected. In addition, it is shown in learners’ open questionnaire that they are very motivated in writing by using “Dream Book” Media.
