Hum Keywords : Perception, Online Media, Writing, EFL Class The use of online media will be very helpful in the process of learning English, especially in the field of education. Although hindered by government policies that require staying at home alone, both teachers and students can still carry out learning even though they are not facing to face. This study aims to describe the perceptions of teachers and students of SMPK Santo Yusup Pacet on the use of online media in teaching and learning to write. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher used qualitative methods. The subjects of this study were an English teacher and five 8th grade students at SMPK Santo Yusup Pacet. The research instrument used interviews. Based on the data analysis that has been observed, teachers and students use several online media such as WhatsApp, YouTube, Moodle and Google Meet and choose Moodle as the most effective online media for teaching and learning to write. The perception of students and teachers towards the use of online media is positive. Both teachers and students get a lot of convenience while using online media as a support for writing learning during the covid-19 pandemic.
